Yeah.. I do Java and a very small amount of C+ and lets not forget an even smaller amount of VBA!

3 Modeling would be something I would love to learn how to do.

I used a program called MilkShape once to make a sword for a mod in Quake 3. A very simple editing program - worked kinda like Spore's Creature Creator. My Mod replaced the Rail Gun with the Sword. When you swung it it would fire 5 rails out within a 90 degree arc in front of you. It was way imba...

Now an idea is forming in my head, maybe we should set up some sort of "Skill Swap" program. People come with some skills and we all teach each other stuff? If there's other that are interested we can make it work.

We may have stumbled upon something pretty awesome here...

I agree.. this looks like it could be a really cool idea... we could end up being really pro.. we could even work together to create stuff.. like a production line.. if you know what I mean

Ya. I was thinking about "Swapping Skills". As in not charging money? I do have some photoshop skill too...

That background on the site with the cement & road being slammed together and all those locks and chains and things was done in photoshop first then brought into flash to serve as our background.

Oh yeah thats quite good.. hmm how did you learn all this stuff?

Thanks but unfortunately I need more then luck.. I have to think of an idea for a real good text based game.. Which has to have about 6-8 hours of gameplay.. I'm thinking more toward the lines of a Dungeons and Dragons type game

I learnt my stuff accidentally. I studied to become a programmer (VB6 - got an MCSD in 2000) but ended up teaching Microsoft Office packages at the college I studied at in 2002.

Then it was like: "We have clients that want to learn Photoshop & Flash. Ally, you're pretty creative. Here's the manual. You're training next week."

And so it went. Read the books, scoured the net for tuts and just kept doing stuff.
