Heya guys, i'm doing a little "research" on lans in South Africa.

Can some of you just give me some info of the past lans on:

- Date of lan
- Venue
- How many players?( Over the whole weekend )
- How many players took part in CoD4/Dota comps( Seperately please (If in teams, specify )
- Prizes for each comp seperately, and if a team won them or an individual

Hope this helps...

- Date of lan - our next event is the 26th Sept, but the last event was the 5th Sept.
- Venue - next event is at Westville Boys High, last event was at Edgewood Campus, UKZN
- How many players?( Over the whole weekend ) - this coming event we expecting 140 (max capacity) but the last event we had 210 over the whole weekend
- How many players took part in CoD4/Dota comps( Seperately please (If in teams, specify ) - last event we had approx. 12 COD4 teams and approx. 10 DoTA teams (i say approx. because The Lair was actually running the tournaments) - next event we cannot say as yet.
- Prizes for each comp seperately, and if a team won them or an individual - prizes for the last event were the following:

COD4 - 5 x Chaintech 9600GT graphics cards & 5 x LCD USB Guns
DoTA - 5 x Intel cpu's (3 x Q6600's & 2 x E8400's) & 5 LCD USB Guns (also, top 2 teams all got tickets to rAge 2008 NAG LAN DoTA tournament)

Next event:

COD4 - ADSL subscriptions
DoTA - not confirmed as yet.

Ipeg and Rectron are sponsoring the next event. Corex at this point is a maybe.

We planning to give away some wirless head set. They in Value about R400 each. This will be confirmed by Wednesday.
